PBTCA—Phosphine Carboxylic Acid
Abstract Phosphine carboxylic acid molecules contains phosphate (-PO(OH)2) and carboxyl (-COOH) two groups. According to their different locations and the different numbers in the compounds, there can be many varieties. However, in practical applications, PBTCA (2-phosphonobutane -1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid ) is used the most commonly as scale and corrosion inhibitor.
